Spring Color

Fall is for planting. That statement is particularly relevant when you’re talking about spring-blooming bulbs. Plant tulips and daffodils now for a spring spectacular next year. Add in a few perennial companions, such as the basket of gold, rock cress, and dame’s rocket seen here, and you’re set to go. The rocks are optional, but they add visual relief from the intense colors. This bed, which is roughly 10 feet long and 4 feet wide, is intended for a sunny spot with good drainage.
