What is Shop Class?

Some of you have asked, "What is Lowe's Shop Class?"

Shop Class is a fun, FREE, four-week course where you will learn how to build a great woodworking project. This time, due to popular demand, we will be building a storage chest.

Each week, for four weeks, we will post a new video. Your instructor, Keith Flippen, will walk you through each step of the process. Plus, we will have printable instructions to make sure your project is a success!

This is a great way to learn a new skill! The folks who participated in the first Shop Class had a great time and built some incredible Adirondack Chairs.

If you sign up before class class begins, you will get an exclusive offer that will get your project off to a great start!

Sign up today at LowesCreativeIdeas.com/ShopClassSignUp and pass this on to your friends.

    Hi Theresa -

Our associates will only make basic cuts in the store. This project will use a circular saw, table saw and a jigsaw. So, yes, you will need to purchase or borrow the tools to make this chest. Let us know if you have any more questions. Good luck with the class!

    Thanks for your question,
    mm

I'm very excited about this project, i've wanted a storage bench for my daughter's room for some time now. Currently I have no saws or woodworking tools. Is it possible to have Lowes cut the wood to size, or will I need to purchase all the saws and equipment to complete this project?
